[He doesn't expect her to say anything; he just waits for whatever's coming next, so he's pleased to see it's such an encouraging kiss.
(Not that he expected something else, but one never knows.)
His hands settle on her hips at first, but then he decides to wrap his arms around her instead, pulling her flush against him. They probably should move, but really, he just wants to keep kissing her like this. Nothing more, not right now.]
[It's the first thing she does, when she finds herself back in Exsilium.]
Stephanie? [There's something worn and wary in her voice; she doesn't know how long she was gone, doesn't know how Stephanie has coped, doesn't know what else she might have gone through.]
'Course, we've got some spare stuff floating around 'cause the newbies are due. I'll see you soon.
[And with that she hangs up, spends a few seconds silently freaking out because thank god, and then actually gets ready to leave, packing a bag with some of her winter clothes. At least her and Babs are roughly the same size.
She was right about her estimate to get to the New Initiative set up, because half an hour later she's walking inside and searching for Babs, trying to shake snow out of her slightly purple hair.]
[Barbara's chair wheels back, and she pushes the hair from her eyes. It's still disconcerting; one moment she's chatting with Zinda about flight plans, the next she's in a winter wasteland. Complete with a few months' extra memories.
So she doesn't do much, as she waits. She focuses on the memories as they integrate into who she is, orders her thoughts and reigns her emotions.]
[As soon as Steph spots her, she's heading over quickly, though she resists the urge to break into a run; at least she's had time to calm down from the initial surprise at Babs being back.
There hasn't been any huge changes since Babs left, but Steph looks - better. She's put weight back on, after having lost so much while on the moon base, and there's more colour in her skin than there had been while they were stuck somewhere without any sunlight.
